Juliette Binoche / Godzilla (2014) Teaser Poster

Godzilla: What is it about Godzilla reboots that attracts French-speaking actors? First the great Jean Reno costarred in the 1998 reboot, and now we hear that the great Juliette Binoche is in talks to costar in Gareth Edwards’ new version, due May 16, 2014. Theoretically, she would join Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston in the creature feature; all the actors are also “in talks,” as they say. Frank Darabont was brought on last month to do another -- final? -- rewrite of the script. [Variety]

Open Windows: Recently we spoke with director Nacho Vigalondo about his upcoming film Open Windows, which he described as “a fast thriller filled with twists.” The first poster has debuted, showcasing Sasha Grey in a sexy pose as an actress who’s been kidnapped; Elijah Wood’s character desperately searches for her before it’s too late. Wouldn’t you? [Bloody Disgusting]

Fantastic Four: Speaking of reboots and high-profile writers (see Godzilla, above), Seth Graham-Smithe (Dark Shadows, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) has evidently completed a polish of the script for Fantastic Four, the reboot that will be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle). Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class) was also recently hired to produce the film, which reportedly takes a more grounded approach, even as it taps deeply into the mythology of the original comics. Fast & Furious Featurette: Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez provide a bit more detail about the sixth installment of the Fast and Furious series in a new featurette. The actors talk action, character and how to make the danger “sexy." The movie opens in theaters on May 24. [Yahoo! Movies]
