Golden Tomato Awards: Jordan Peele's Get Out (above) was honored with a Golden Tomato Award as the best-reviewed, wide-release movie of 2017. Other top-reviewed award-winners include Call Me By Your Name (limited release), Lady Bird (comedies), Baby Driver (action movies) and Wonder Woman (comic/graphic novel adaptations). Pitch Perfect 2

Uncanny Valley: Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2, above) will produce Uncanny Valley for the big screen, based on a forthcoming novel by Anna Wiener about life in Silicon Valley's high-pressure tech bubble. Banks will work with her usual producing partner Max Handelman (Pitch Perfect), as well as Michael De Luca (Fifty Shades of Grey) on the project for Universal Pictures. [Variety]

 

Truth or Dare

Slender Man is drawn from a modern mythical story about a tall, thin, terrifying figure who attacks children and young teenagers.
