• You'll Poke Your Eye Out Of all things, Avatar's getting its own 3-D porn, the creatively titled and lawsuit-evading This Ain’t Avatar XXX. Giving new meaning to "blue" movies.
• K.O.! I'd about had it up to here with Michael Cera and his shtick (I like him, but enough playing the same kid already), until I saw the trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World a while back and decided to give him another shot. Check out the freaking awesome new international trailer and "Tell it to the cleaning lady!"
• Crank It Up Depending on which side of the Crank movies you fall on, this is either good news (says me) or bad news: Ghost Rider 2 is reportedly on track, with Nicolas Cage back to star and those Crank boys Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor aboard to direct. Get ready for that shitstorm, boys and girls!
• Cue Laughter in 3, 2, 1... Miley Cyrus is shedding her Hannah Montana persona this year but not much else--no, really. According to a recent AP interview she claims not to be trying to look slutty, but instead to "make a point" with her record--that point being, apparently, that all 13-year-olds should aspire to work a pole with the skill of a 25-year-old Scores Girl. Does this mean we'll see her in her next movie about a wild, troubled teen, LOL, wearing gingham skirts and turtlenecks? Methinks not.
• Spy vs....Spy? The Sun released a still from the Jolie/Depp starrer The Tourist, the derivative beleaguered Hitchcockian thriller involving two charming spies (or not) and a “whirlwind of intrigue” that Charlize Theron and Tom Cruise dropped out of. What’s more mysterious is how the filmmakers made Johnny look like Russell Crowe’s doppelganger.
• Got Blood? If you're into watching people get speared and hacked up (who isn't?) there's a new red-band trailer for Neil Marshall's (The Descent, Dog Soldiers) Centurion, an ambitious, gory indie coming in August about feisty tribesmen vs. trained soldiers during the 2nd century Roman conquest of Britain (think 300 with better armor and a bad-ass girl villain).
