These days a trailer for a comedy tends to leave you feeling like you've just seen all the funniest bits of the movie. Not so with Movie 43. Oh, it's a funny, funny trailer alright, but it feels like only a sampling of the raunchiness in store come January 25, 2013.
To be fair to most comedies, though, Movie 43 does have one crucial trick up its sleeve: it's not actually a normal movie. It's basically a feature-length sketch-comedy show that unites 10 directors and way more stars than anything called Movie 43 has any right to contain. A title like that makes it sound like another Epic Movie or Date Movie bogged down with endless pop-culture minutia. Movie 43, however, basically looks like Funny or Die: The Movie-- and we mean that in a good way.
