Morning Watch: Twitter's First TV Spot, Awesome 'Super Mario Bros.' Short & Visit the Real-Life 'Rushmore'

Twitter ran their first-ever TV spot during the 2012 Pocono 400 Nascar race over the weekend, promoting the #Nascar hashtag page. It was followed by a series of related TV spots that you can find over at Design Taxi. Below, check out the first one that aired, featuring NASCAR racer Brad Keselowski.

Here's a fantastic 3D animated Super Mario Bros. short that reimagines the opening sequence of the original game with new sound and graphic effects, which completely change the mood of the piece and make Mario out to be pretty vicious. Warning: This may be NSFW due to animated blood. [TDW]

Finally, the AV Club's Pop Pilgrims visit the real-life Rushmore Academy, aka St. John's prep school in Houston, Texas, which not only served as the location for the private school in Wes Anderson's Rushmore, but it was also Anderson's own school growing up. [Pop Pilgrims]
