Morning Watch: Joss Whedon is a Bathroom Coach, Michael Madsen vs. the Weather, 'Fan Art: An Explosion of Creativity'
May 04, 2012
The Avengers opens in theaters across the US today, which means Joss Whedon is about to have one of the greatest weekends of his career. But if you think taking on the very serious duty of directing a huge, $200+ million tentpole film means all the silliness has gone out of the Buffy, Angel and Firefly creator, think again. Here he is acting in The Coach, a new short film from BriTANicK that finds the A-lister playing a bathroom coach. The comedy pair will be in Whedon's next movie, Much Ado About Nothing.
From Whedon's silliness ahead of his impending monumental success (seriously, The Avengers has already made $300 million and hasn't even opened in the US yet), we go to Michael Madsen, who is apparently so happy to still be asked in front of cameras, he stays on camera even when not asked. And from Michael Madsen's weather report we turn to a very cool PBS special, Fan Art: An Explosion of Creativity. It's an interesting look at the recent surge of fan art and the community's the crop up around it.
