Watch: Spike Lee's Documentary 'Throw Like a Girl' About Teen Baseball Sensation Mo'ne Davis

Oct 30, 2014

Here’s a heartwarming, inspiring documentary short from Spike Lee. Throw Like a Girl follows 13-year-old Mo’ne Davis in South Philly. She’s a Little League champion pitcher who took the division’s world series by storm in the summer as the first girl to pitch a shutout in the series. She also happened to make the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Lee talks to her coach, her family, and the star pitcher herself—who also has a thing for basketball and big dreams for the Women's National Basketball Association. The vibe is empowering—and now we want to see Lee make a doc about every amazing kid across the planet.

Watch Mo’ne do her thing and put us all to shame, below.
