The Host has a
confirmed director in Andrew Niccol, who wrote the movie’s screenplay but then went on to other projects. When he heard Saoirse Ronan signed on, Niccol circled back. Hopefully the writer of
The Truman Show and
Gattaca can improve on Meyers’—ahem, questionable—writing skills and make this a good movie.
