Captain America

If you’ve got a burning case of Marvel fever, we’ve got the cure for what ails you in today’s roundup.

We kick things off with two new (and astonishing) videos highlighting all of the Easter eggs found in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. How many are there? There are so many they felt the need to put them into two separate videos.

We’re not gonna spoil all the things you’ll see in these clips, but it’s pretty safe to assume that some of this stuff will tie into The Avengers: Age of Ultron. We suspect we’ll spot even more hints layered into the film after that sequel comes out next summer. Oh Marvel, you guys are almost too clever for your own good. [via CinemaBlend]

Empire has debuted three new images from the hotly-anticipated Avengers sequel, including this first look at Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye. "It's more epic and in other ways it's more noirish and suspect and devious and specific," director Joss Whedon says. Hit up Empire for more.

Neil Marshall wants some Black Widow in his life

Black Widow Scarlett Johansson

The Descent filmmaker Neil Marshall is one of the best action directors working today. The guy’s made some fantastic films, and has started to gain the attention of mainstream audiences with his brilliant work on HBO’s Game of Thrones (Marshall directed the Blackwater episode in season two, and last season’s incredible The Watchers on the Wall). Now he’s made it clear he’d like to jump into the Marvel cinematic universe – and he’s even got a project in mind: the oft-discussed solo film for Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.

Marshall tells Vanity Fair he’d love to have a crack at the character:

“I would love to do a Black Widow movie. That’s perfect, I would love to do that. That character is really interesting, she doesn’t have any superpowers, she just has extraordinary skills, and the world that she comes from, being this ex-K.G.B. assassin, I find that really fascinating, yeah.”

To be clear, this is just Marshall wishing for a project, but we think he’d be a great fit for a Marvel movie at some point. Let’s hope it happens.

Dancing Groot toy can now be yours forever

Dancing Groot

Upset because you couldn’t score an affordable “Movin’ and Groovin’ Daisy’ on eBay to build your own Dancing Groot toy? Well, turn that frown upside down, because Marvel and Funko have an alternative.

The companies have made an official announcement that a Dancing Groot toy will be in stores in the not-too-distant future. While the company hasn’t revealed a release date or a price, some online retailers are already taking preorders for the item at the relatively low cost of $9.99. [via Design Taxi]
