Black Mudd The rumor that Jack Black would star as con man Harry Mudd turned out not to be true. To me, that’s a bummer, because he’s actually not a bad dramatic actor. He was decent in King Kong. Random question, though. Are we calling this movie Star Trek 2 because it’s a reboot? Does that lead to confusion with Wrath of Khan? The dual-universe thing is baffling for so many reasons.

A-List Cast Everybody says Zach Galafiniakis stole The Hangover, but the Bradley Cooper was really the guy who held that whole movie together. Gotta say I’m pretty stoked to see he’s playing Face. And Liam Neeson as Hannibal? This is gonna be the best retro TV adaptation yet. Of course I said the same thing about Starsky & Hutch. And Miami Vice.

Sequel: Possible Trying to kill Hitler didn’t work for Tom Cruise, so maybe returning to his last successful flick will.
