Guillermo del Toro is executive-producing another film about children who battle the creepy crawlies of the supernatural? Well, OK. We're always down for that. Spanish horror flick Mama arrives January 18, and here's a peek at the three-minute film that inspired the feature. In the introduction, del Toro explains that the movie's "craftsmanship, ingenuity and horror" inspired him to be a producer for the film directed by Andres Muschietti.
Mama finds a couple challenged with raising their young nieces who were discovered in a forest after hiding there for several years. They had escaped into the woods when their parents were killed. Later, something eerie haunts them and disrupts their chances for a new life.
