50 Shades of Grey: The first poster for the highly anticipated erotic drama 50 Shades of Grey takes a subtle, discreet, muted approach. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson star; the movie will heat up theaters on February 13, 2015. [Latino Review]

Ghost in the Shell: Rupert Sanders, who made his feature directorial debut with 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman, will direct a live-action, English-language version of the celebrated Japanese manga Ghost in the Shell. Multiple animated versions have been made in Japan for both TV and the big screen; the source material deals with covert operatives fighting cyber-tech crimes. A script has been completed, but it's not clear how soon this project might move ahead, since Sanders has multiple projects in development. [Deadline]

Race: The young star of the scruffy British sci-fi movie Attack the Block will take on the role of a legendary athlete. John Boyega will play Jesse Owens in Race, which tells the story of the runner's triumph at the 1936 Olympics, held in Berlin, Germany, where Adolf Hitler had declared that Jews and blacks would not be allowed to compete. Maleficent Trailer: An extended 90-second TV spot for Maleficent -- really, closer to a full trailer -- debuted during the broadcast of the Grammys last night, featuring a never-before-heard version of "Once Upon a Dream" by Lana Del Rey. Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning star in Disney's new version of Sleeping Beauty, told from the point of view of the villain. The movie opens in theaters on May 30. [Walt Disney]
