Listen: Trent Reznor's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' Score Set to Metal Poster Making

Oct 04, 2011

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross took home the Oscar last year for the soundtrack to David Fincher's The Social Network. This year they're providing the soundscape for the director's version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo — following a hacker and a journalist uncovering a wealthy family's dark past. Viral marketing site Mouth-Taped-Shut has a four-minute clip to get you in the mood. The score sounds like what we've become accustomed to hearing from Reznor and Ross, but the other cool layer to this promo is a video showing the production of some interesting metal posters in the shape of a razor blade (want!). Rooney Mara's Lisbeth Salander wears a blade around her neck, which seems to be the inspiration. Things are looking better and better each time we get a peek at Fincher's project, which hits theaters on December 21.
