Movies Chat is our new work-in-progress chat show hosted by Movies.com Managing Editor Erik Davis. Each month we'll release multiple episodes that feature 15-20 minute conversations with some of the Web's most notable movie experts.
Earlier this month I wrote a post questioning whether 2012 was the greatest year for superhero movies ever. Now that The Dark Knight Rises is officially in theaters -- and we have some early buzz on Dredd out of San Diego Comic-Con -- I thought we'd revisit the topic, taking into consideration what we now know about this year's remaining superhero movies.
Joining me in an attempt to figure if 2012 is the best -- or at least one of the best -- years for superhero movies ever is Chris Clow (@chrisclow), writer for Batman on Film and author of The Dark Knight Rises Countdown column here at Movies.com, and Jeffrey Taylor, writer for Superman Homepage, and author of the Man of Steel Countdown column here at Movies.com. Together the three of us try to find a place for 2012 among the great superhero movie years of all time, as well as look ahead to what both 2013 and 2014 have in store for us when it comes to our favorite big-screen superheroes.
