A novel about a bullied boy who enters into a strange and devoted friendship with a vampiric girl, written by Swedish novelist John Ajvide Lindqvist, spawned two films (Tomas Alfredson’s 2008 Swedish version and a remake from Matt Reeves starring Chloë Grace Moretz) and legions of fans who were craving a thoughtful story in a sea of banal Twilight fandom. Now, you can see the eerie, moody Let the Right One In on the stage in London’s West End later this month.
The production will be the inaugural play at the newly reopened Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue. The award-winning Jack Thorne production, directed by John Tiffany, was a sellout at the Royal Court Theatre. Bloody Disgusting shared the above photo from the production, and we spotted an actor’s roundtable that reveals more of the darkly beautiful stage design and more.
