As with almost any major role that’s up for grabs these days, we now have a
final pool of actresses for the lead role in Lionsgate’s upcoming adaptation of Suzanne Collins’s
The Hunger Games. Lionsgate is hoping that the story of a young girl who joins a survival contest to save her community in a dystopian future will spawn
Twilight-like success. The three actresses currently leading the pack include Oscar nominees
Jennifer Lawrence,
Hailee Steinfeld and
Abigail Breslin. The other names reported by
Entertainment Weekly include Chloe Moretz, Lyndsy Fonseca, Emma Roberts, Saorise Ronan, Kaya Scodelario, Emily Browning and Shailene Woodley. So let’s throw it to you movie fans. Who’s your pick to play 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen?
