New Release Dates for 'Kick-Ass 2,' '47 Ronin,' 'Jurassic Park 3D' and More

47 Ronin Keanu ReevesA cinematic game of musical chairs has broken out at Universal as the studio shuffles its 2013 release slate. Everything is on the move.

The biggest project getting pushed back is Keanu Reeves47 Ronin – which will move from its previously set February 8 release date all the way back to Christmas 2013. The production is undergoing reshoots in London, and those couldn’t be done with the Olympics happening. Of course, why a few weeks of the Olympics means a 10-month delay is anyone’s guess…

Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman headline this comedy wherein a man (Bateman) has his identity stolen by a woman (McCarthy) and hilarity ensues. Unfortunately, Universal is being coy with the plot details for this one.

Kick-Ass 2 

Newly announced release date: June 28, 2013

Costumed crime fighter Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) teams up with other normal people masquerading as crime fighters in this sequel to the 2010 hit. Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) and the villainous Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) are also returning, but director Matthew Vaughn has handed over the reigns to filmmaker Jeff Wadlow.

Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges star in this comic adaptation, which finds Reynolds joining a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Division and trying to find out who murdered him.
