As X-Men: First Class prepares to arrive on DVD and Blu-ray this September 9th, a couple of the behind-the-scenes special features have arrived online, including this one featuring Jennifer Lawrence going through the tedious, hours-long process of becoming the character Mystique. Some fun facts we learn in the video:
-- They didn't have the people who helped make Mystique in the original trilogy, so they had to start the process again from scratch.
-- It took about 20 tests to find the right shade of blue.
-- The entire process of becoming Mystique takes about 7 hours, and that's before the girl even starts work in front of the camera.
-- The Mystique transformation begins with placing the scales, followed by 3 layers of airbrushing and 5 layers of splattering all different colors.
-- It takes 6 girls to paint the full body
