This shouldn't be all too surprising for anyone familiar with Wes Anderson movies, but it's still exciting to know that some of the filmmaker's most trusted (and entertaining) associates will be returning for his next movie. Not much is known about The Grand Budapest Hotel except that it takes place in Europe and involves a hotel, but we do know that its cast currently includes Bill Murray, Ralph Fiennes, Owen Wilson, Jude Law and, now, Jason Schwartzman.
Schwartzman confirmed his participation to us by phone just a few minutes ago. "I'm going to be in it. Yes, I'm going to be in it. I'm playing Cousin Ben (referring to his Moonrise Kingdom character). No, I'm just kidding -- wouldn't that be crazy? No, but I'm excited about it. I'm very excited about it. It's a beautiful movie."
Production is set to begin soon, so hopefully additional details will be revealed then. We'll have more with Schwartzman early next week in support of Moonrise Kingdom on Blu-ray and DVD, which hits shelves on October 16.
