Skyfall kicked butt at the box office this weekend, and since James Bond is always ripe for a good parodying, it’s not surprising that we’ve found three new clips poking fun at 007.
The first comes from website Funny or Die, and features the unveiling of the long-lost Bond film To Have and To Gold. Film critic Elvis Mitchell introduces the newly discovered Bond adventure, which was written, directed and starred a guy named Gil Edmundberry. Edmunderry bears a striking resemblance to Chris Kattan, but hey, it’s new Bond – that’s never a bad thing, right?
If, after viewing that, you’re still looking for more Bond-based hilarity, our own Eric Snider has released Randy Newman’s new Bond theme song (OK, it’s not really Randy Newman – it’s Snider impersonating Randy Newman, but if you had a few martinis you might totally think it was Randy Newman.)
This new track laments Bond’s inability to form a lasting relationship with the opposite sex. Who knew Bond was so misunderstood? You can listen to the hilarious track below.
Finally, our own Brian Salisbury and his wife Toni Taylor-Salisbury have combined forces (sort of like Voltron) to offer their own take on Adele’s Skyfall theme song. It never dawned on me until now, but Skyfall does sound a lot like Sky Mall – the cheesy catalog you’ll find in the back of every seat on a commercial flight. The "Sky Mall" song reminds us of all the amazing junk that’s literally just a phone call away while we’re cruising at 37,000 feet.
