Parkland: The 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is rapidly approaching; Peter Landesman's drama Parkland follows various individuals as they deal with the immediate aftermath of the shocking and tragic event. (Parkland is the Dallas hospital where JFK was rushed after being shot.) The new poster is stark and restrained. Midnight Special: Kirsten Dunst has not gone near any superpowers since Spider-Man 3 in 2007, but she will do so for acclaimed indie writer-director Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud). Dunst will be the female lead in Midnight Special, opposite Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton. The film follows a father and eight-year-old son who go on the run after discovering the lad has some kind of superpower(s). [Deadline]

Insidious: The Universal Studios theme park will showcase a maze inspired by horror hit Insidious during its annual Halloween Horror Nights later this year. Insidious: Into the Further will allows guests to "travel into the world of the dead to confront malicious souls and demons intent on bringing suffering to the living." No word on what happens if you don't come back. The movie's sequel, Insidious: Chapter 2, will scare its way into theaters on Friday, September 13; the horrifying attraction opens a week later. How I Live Now Trailer: Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) stars in How I Live Now, directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland). It looks like an idyllic teen romance, but then it takes a sudden, dramatic turn that changes everything, at least according to a new trailer. The movie is due out in the U.K. this fall, but we're still waiting for a U.S. release date to be announced. [The Film Stage]
