Who's Down for More Insidious-ness?

Who's Down for More Insidious-ness?

Feb 02, 2012

Here's some potentially good news that will surprise precisely no one:

Sony / Film District / Alliance Films wants an Insidious sequel, and it looks like they're planning to do it right. This won't be some quickie video flick; indeed Sony is even inviting director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell to come back and dig into the creepy world of "the further." Variety brings us the story, and they also remind us that Insidious was made for about $1.5 million -- only to make about $155 million in global box office. That Insidious got the stamp of approval from horror fans is, of course, the icing on the cake.

No word yet on if Patrick Wilson or Rose Byrne will be coming back for more insidiousness -- or even on what the sequel will be called -- but it's nice to know that two hardcore horror geeks can keep finding success while churning out quality scares for us nerds. Fingers crossed on the sequel!
