Yes, the electromechnical vibrator is over 100 years old, and, yes, Hysteria is a period piece film about its invention at the turn of the 19th century. It stars Hugh Dancy, Rupert Everett, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Felicity Jones and Jonathan Pryce and actually looks like quite charming, especially if find British period films to be typically stuffy. The King's Speech, this ain't.
