Yesterday the world briefly paused in unison while hundreds of thousands of Hunger Games fans flocked to the Internet to investigate the first images from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Those came in the form of an Entertainment Weekly cover shot of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and her new admirer, Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin), as well as an image of the two cozying up during the film. Today the magazine has released a few more images, one of which gives us a first look at Philip Seymour Hoffman, who'll be playing Plutarch Heavensbee in the sequel. In Catching Fire, Heavensbee replaces Seneca Crane (played by Wes Bentley in The Hunger Games), and his role eventually evolves as the series moves on to its final chapter, Mockingjay.
Check out all the images below, featuring Hoffman and a few additional familiar faces (we see you Peeta and Gale, looking all serious and ready to fight someone). The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters on November 22.
