Who has an extra $2.4 million lying around? If you do -- and you also happen to absolutely adore the film Home Alone (really, who doesn't?), then you can own the house the film was shot in for only a couple of million. One cheese pizza and a copy of Angels with Filthy Souls on VHS not included.
From the Coldwell Banker listing: "The Home Alone home is located on Chicago's North Shore in the historic town of Winnetka. This stately red-brick colonial Georgian is dramatically situated on a beautifully landscaped half-acre lot, just blocks from the quaint town-center and magnificent Lake Michigan. Built in the 1920s, this residence is now recognized the world over as the "Home Alone Home," as it was featured in the popular family movie Home Alone and its first sequel..."
It's a beautiful house that looks even more beautiful inside. No idea how popular it is around the neighborhood and whether folks are constantly stopping in front of the house to take pictures of themselves in that famous Macaulay Culkin scream-pose, but if you're in the market for a nice home in the Chicago area (and you're also a huge movie buff), then have at it.
