Here We Go Again: Fox News Claims 'The Lorax' and 'Secret World of Arrietty' Are Brainwashing Your Kids

Feb 23, 2012

At this point we're thinking Fox News is doing this on purpose, if only to get themselves a little more publicity after their big what-to-do over claims The Muppets was brainwashing kids to be anti-oil. Now they're going after the latest family-friendly movies to hit theaters because ... why not? Their claims? That both The Lorax and The Secret World of Arrietty cater to the 1% because they support eco-friendly themes and promote lessons about sharing. Let's forget about the fact that both films are based on classic books that were around long before Obama's agenda, and just go with it ...

Fox News' Lou Dobbs naturally compares the animated films to the Occupy Wall Street movement, saying they promote an anti-industry message, accusing Obama's "liberal friends in Hollywood" of using animated films to sell that agenda to children ... who will probably be more concerned with owning Lorax merchandise following a screening of the film than they will be protesting the next set of trees to be chopped down, but we digress. Do your thing Fox News. We'll check back in when Pixar's Brave hits theaters, as Hollywood's animated liberal agenda gets set to promote a strong-minded independent woman taking charge of her destiny.
