Ron Perlman plays a big meanie in the movies, but he's clearly a giant softie. The extra large actor — who recently wrapped work on Guillermo del Toro's aliens versus robots bonanza, Pacific Rim — took time out of his busy schedule to work on a special project for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Perlman reprised his role as the demon Hellboy for a child named Zachary, who wanted to meet Perlman dressed as the heroic monster, but also become Hellboy. Special effects company Spectral Motion — who have lent their talents to films like Fantastic Four and the X-Men series — hosted the event. "Ron loved the idea and donned the makeup once more (with the assistance of Lufeng Qu and Eden Elizalde) and also ordered a Hellboy sized meal of burgers, shakes, and fries for Zachary and his family and the entire Spectral crew to enjoy," the company shared on their Facebook page.
Makeup artists Lufeng Qu and Neil Winn later transformed Zachary, and the company's snaps of the entire day's events are heart-warming to look at. This proves two things: Ron Perlman is still a total badass and has a huge heart. Check out a few images below, and then head to Facebook for the rest.
