True Grit breakout star
Hailee Steinfeld is attached to a revised version of
Sleeping Beauty. Granted, with
Alice in Wonderland grossing over a billion dollars worldwide last year and three Snow White movies hitting the screen soon, it was only a matter of time before other well-known fairy tales got the revisionist treatment. This new version will be told from Sleeping Beauty’s point of view as she enters into the dream world and has to find her way out. Steinfeld showed some serious acting potential in
Grit so it’s hard to argue against this casting and it’s likely this script won’t be sitting in Hollywood limbo for long.
