The Legendary Comic-Con panel began with a tease for Godzilla 2, featuring two brief videos. In the first, director Gareth Edwards thanked fans for supporting Godzilla from San Francisco, where they were rebuilding the Golden Gate bridge (cause it was destroyed in the first film, ya know). That video ended with a nice shot of Godzilla emerging from underneath the water and roaring.
The second video teased Godzilla 2 with all old stock war footage (like the stuff that opened up the first Godzilla movie) that teased the existence of more monsters. Then the names of those monsters were revealed and here's who Godzilla will be fighting in the sequel, which currently does not have a release date.
Note: These are not images of the monsters from the upcoming film.
There may be even more than this, too. In the first video Edwards began mentioning the names of at least seven monsters, but they jokingly bleeped him out. Hopefully we'll see concept art soon. Meanwhile, Edwards will next direct one of the Star Wars spin-off movies.
