Watch: Bobcat Goldthwait's 'God Bless America' Red-Band Trailer

Jan 30, 2012

If you've seen World's Greatest Dad and Shakes the Clown, then you're well aware of comedian Bobcat Goldthwait's penchant for pitch-black satire. The actor/director pits his dark style against America's "stupidest, cruelest and most repellent members of society" in the upcoming God Bless America. Twitch shared the latest red-band trailer, and if you're a fan of Goldthwait's twisted temperament it'll be sure to please.

A lonely guy down on his luck and just diagnosed with a terminal illness goes on a Falling Down-style rampage when he realizes he's got nothing to lose. He directs his rage at America's most annoying and unworthy, taking a similarly disillusioned 16-year-old girl along for the ride. It looks like a violent little movie that parodies everything and anything in pop culture, already upsetting several people — like Diablo Cody.

Joel Murray, Tara Lynne Barr, Mackenzie Brooke Smith, Melinda Page Hamilton, Rich McDonald, and Guerrin Gardner star in the movie that will be released on VOD April 6 and storm a theater near you on May 11. Dig into the NSFW-ness below.
