Unless you were lucky enough to catch the eight-minute trailer in front of select sneak previews of Straw Dogs last week, today's new trailer for David Fincher's remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is the first time you're going to hear stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara bring Stieg Larsson's best-selling words to life.
If you're concerned about a four-minute long trailer being too filled with all the best bits of the movie, don't be. This is an expertly cut together trailer that breezes by without being too heavy on exposition and spoilers. Frankly, it's kind of amazing considering most trailers for Hollywood films manage to show us the entire movie in half that time, but once again the Dragon Tattoo marketing team prove they're some of the best in the business.
So now that we've seen actual character work and not just Fincher's always sharp cinematic eye, what do you think about the remake? Are you still looking forward to Craig and Rooney investigating a decades-old murder? Or does this look like too much like the original film just run through an English-language filter?
