Well this is a shame: New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, under pressures to trim the city budget, is looking to close 20 fire stations. One of those stations is Ladder 8, best recognized to film geeks as the base of operations for Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore, AKA the Ghostbusters.

Now obviously NYC forcing the closure of fire stations is no laughing matter, but you've got to appreciate this odd case of life imitating art.
