Summer is still months away, but if you’re jonesing for some superhero action ahead of the release of The Amazing Spider-Man and The Avengers, maybe these updates will help tide you over.
Sony will hold sneak peeks of its forthcoming Spider-Man reboot on February 6th. If you live in or around Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Mexico City, Moscow, New York City, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Seoul, Sydney and Tokyo, then head on over to The Untold Story Begins website and get signed up ASAP. Insert your joke about a reboot of a franchise being marketed as "the untold story" here.
Sony’s marketing for the event looks neat. They’ve taken a page from DC’s Batman and are projecting a giant spider symbol on local landmarks to let people know they can register for the event.
If you’re not lucky enough to live in one of those aforementioned cities or you’re not all that excited about The Amazing Spider-Man, then perhaps news of a Twitter chat with Joss Whedon and some of the cast members from The Avengers will be more your speed.
Coming Soon shared the details about Marvel’s plans for Tweet-up, which is set to take place on Tuesday, January 31st at 11 AM PST. Twitter users will be able to direct their questions to Whedon, Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson). To submit a question, use the @avengers handle and the #avengers hashtag. Those participating will have the opportunity to win prizes by taking part in The Avengers-themed trivia contests and get a ten second teaser of the film’s upcoming Super Bowl ad. Sounds like a great way to spend Tuesday morning to us.
