First Looks: Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis and Pixar's Next

May 27, 2011

It's exciting to know that David Cronenberg has two films coming out over the course of the next year, with A Dangerous Method (Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley, Michael Fassbender) premiering at the Venice Film Festival in a couple of months, and Cosmopolis (Robert Pattinson, Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, Samantha Morton) filming now in Toronto. With regards to Cosmopolis, the first image has arrived online (courtesy of Cronenberg's daughter, who tweeted it), featuring a dapper looking Pattinson sitting in a limo with Sarah Gadon.

Based on the novella by Don DeLillo, Cosmopolis stars Pattinson as a billionaire finance wiz who spends a ridiculous amount of time in his suped-up limousine, driving around, cheating on his wife and conducting business, all while trying to outwit the men who are out to get him. No release date is set yet. Meanwhile, we've been handed our first good look at the lead character in Pixar's next film, Brave ... and it's a girl! Yeah! Voiced by Kelly Macdonald (who replaced Reese Witherspoon after the actress bailed following Pixar's removal of Brave's original director, Brenda Chapman), the film follows a feisty Scottish princess/wannabee archer whose reckless actions jeopardize her father's kingdom. It hits theaters on June 27th, 2012.

Two completely different films, but is there one you'd rather see more?
