First Look: Lindsay Lohan Returns to Acting as Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime's 'Liz & Dick'

May 25, 2012

It's taken awhile for Lindsay Lohan to climb out of the giant, drug-fueled hole she dug herself, but apparently the gal is forging ahead, committing to a role that, unlike her previous false starts, actually seems to be happening. Lohan has been busy this week doing wardrobe fittings for her upcoming Lifetime biopic based on the life of Elizabeth Taylor, but more specifically the iconic actress's rocky relationship with Richard Burton. E! News reported yesterday that True Blood's Grant Bowler has been cast as Burton; meanwhile, Lohan posted an image on Twitter of herself as Elizabeth Taylor, which you can see below.

Yup, there's definitely a resemblance, so that part is taken care of. But can Lohan act? Her recent stint on Saturday Night Live was sort of a trainwreck, and the girl has been out of the game for awhile now. Can she make a comeback? Can she play a convincing Elizabeth Taylor? Filming begins on June 4th, so we'll start getting answers to those questions real soon. [via Lindsay Lohan]
