Toy Story 4

Pixar continues to enjoy great success at the box office, as evidenced by the record-breaking opening this past summer for the critically-acclaimed Incredibles 2. The action-adventure ended up earning more than $1.2 billion worldwide. The next release from Pixar will be Toy Story 4.

Though Toy Story 3 appeared to wrap up the series nicely back in 2010, Toy Story 4 will reportedly be a romantic comedy that will stand apart from the first three installments. The delightful first teaser has now been released, featuring the familiar cast of characters, along with a couple of surprises. Here's everything we know about the film; watch the teaser below.

What's the story?

As far as we know, the story will still focus on Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) and Bo Peep (voiced by Annie Potts). Woody and Buzz will search for Bo Peep after she becomes lost; Potts has confirmed that she has a major role in the comedy.

Who will voice roles?

Tom Hanks (as Woody), Tim Allen (as Buzz Lightyear) and Annie Potts (as Bo Peep) are  confirmed for the lead roles. The large supporting cast will reportedly include Joan Cusack (as Jessie), Blake Clark (as Slinky Dog), Wallace Shawn (as Rex), John Ratzenberger (as Hamm), Estelle Harris (as Mrs. Potato Head) and Kristen Schaal (as Trixie).

Who is helming the project?

Josh Cooley (Cars, Inside Out, Pixar short George & A.J.) was initially named as co-director and then as the solo director in July 2017.

When can we see it?

Disney/Pixar will release Toy Story 4 in theaters everywhere on June 21, 2019.
