Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising

In the spring of 2014, Neighbors burst on the scene as a fresh blast of raucous comedy from producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Rogen starred with Rose Byrne as a couple with a newborn baby who must deal with an incredibly rowdy fraternity that somehow moves next door to them in their peaceful suburban neighborhood.

The fraternity was led by Zac Efron and Dave Franco, who end up in a steadily escalating war of pranks with their neighbors. We're not spoiling anything to say that the movie concluded on a very satisfying note of friendship and respect. Made on a very modest budget, Neighbors was a huge smash, earning more than $270 million at the box office worldwide, so it's no surprise that a sequel was soon in the pipeline.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, again directed by Nicholas Stoller, finds Rogen, Byrne and their young daughter contending with an extremely rowdy sorority that moves in next door. The young women are tired of their school's sexist attitudes, so they decide to get a place where they can do whatever they want. Expecting another child, Rogen and Byrne are desperate to sell their home, which they won't be able to do with an outrageously loud party house next door. So they find it necessary to call in reinforcements. Leading the charge? Zac Efron, of course.

Other returning cast members include Franco, Ike Barinholz, Carla Gallo and Lisa Kudrow as the dean of the local college. The sorority members are led by Chloë Grace Moretz, Kiersey Clemons and Beanie Feldstein (above).

The original was hella fun and the sequel looks like even more fun, with more possibilities for comic mayhem. The movie will open in theaters on May 20.
