The Fast and Furious franchise is such an interesting animal because it seems to become more successful with each additional sequel, which is somewhat of a rarity these days. Usually by the time you reach a sixth installment, the franchise is running out of steam, but not this one. These dudes (and gals) are flooring it all the way to the box office and beyond. Following the ridiculous success of Fast Five, Fast Six (or Fast and Furious 6) is now in production, back with the same crew and a few others (like Haywire's Gina Carano). Dwayne Johnson tweeted an image of himself and Carano the other day (see below), but then this official behind-the-scenes still hit the Fast and Furious 6 Twitter page yesterday.
In it we see director Justin Lin with stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. The three guys look to be hanging around some sort of workbench, probably in a garage full of cars. No word on plot this time around, though we imagine things will be kicked up a notch with Carano, Luke Evans and Joe Taslim (The Raid) joining a cast that already includes Walker, Diesel, Johnson, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez. Word has it the kids will be traveling to Europe this time around in search of another big score.
Fast Six hits theaters on May 24, 2013. Here's that pic of Diesel and Carano from earlier.
