Fast and Furious 7

Fast &Furious 7: Vin Diesel, who is prone to sharing with his millions of fans, continues that tradition with the first behind-the-scenes photo from Fast & Furious 7. Diesel looks sharp, as usual, while Paul Walker appears a bit downcast. Under the direction of James Wan, whose horror sequel Insidious: Chapter 2 claimed the box office crown over the weekend, Fast & Furious 7 will roar into theaters on July 11, 2014. Goosebumps: Jack Black is trying to raise Goosebumps. He is in negotations to star in a big-screen adaptation of R.L. Stine's best-selling series of chidren's books. Reportedly, "Black would play a Stine-like author whose scary characters literally leap off the page, forcing him to hide from his own creepy creations." Rob Letterman, who directed Black in Gulliver's Travels and also the animated Shark Tale, is set to direct. [The Wrap]

Man of Steel 2: Via social media service Instagram, Justin Bieber shared a photo of himself with a script for Batman vs. Superman (aka the officially untitled sequel to Man of Steel), captioning it "#robin ??," prompting many to speculate that the teen pop sensation had been cast in the role. But on the same day, via social media service Twitter, Bieber noted: "Off to do something funny or... die :)," apparently referring to the humor site Funny or Die, leading to the unavoidable conclusion that he would actually be doing a comedy skit about Batman and Robin. Open Windows Trailer: Post-The Lord of the Rings, Elijah Wood is carving out a fascinating career, mainly in smaller indie films like the upcoming Open Windows. Directed by Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes), the first trailer paints it as an intricate thriller in which Wood plays a voyeuristic computer user who is drawn into a criminal plot by a mysterious stranger. Sasha Grey also stars; the movie does not yet have a release date. [The Film Stage]
