The Fantastic Fest Award Winners (and Their Trailers)

Sep 25, 2012

Though there's still three days left in the festival with some big films left to play (like Paranormal Activity 4 and two secret screenings), the Fantastic Fest awards were held last night, and true to tradition it was one heckuva crazy night. See, unlike other awards ceremonies, the Fantastic Fest Awards take the unique approach of making those accepting awards chug a beer out of their award when they come up to receive it. And if that person is not in attendance, then the jury member presenting the award must do the honors. Things always start off sweet, then become increasingly more... fantastic as we get to categories with five awards and none of the filmmakers are there to receive them. Let's just say it was a wild scene at the Alamo Drafthouse.

Below you'll find all of this year's winners. Definitely keep an eye out for these films, because while they're small and not very well known, all of them are worth a watch. We've included trailers (where available) for the big winners.
