Watch: Two Super Fans Break into Paramount's 'Star Trek: The Next Generation" Soundstage

While I’ve always been more of a fan of the original Star Trek than Star Trek: The Next Generation (Kirk > Picard forever!), even I have to admit that today’s video footage of two giant dorks sneaking onto the set of the Next Generation is pretty cool.

Shot in 1988, our two intergalactic interlopers (one dressed in his very own Starfleet uniform) somehow managed to break into the Paramount lot where the sets from Star Trek: The Next Generation were housed. Armed with a camcorder and dreams of making a documentary, our heroes then proceed to shoot terrible footage, break a Bio-bed in the infirmary, and argue about the cinematography of their magnum opus.

All in all, it’s hilarious – especially when the duo are finally busted by security and kicked out, apparently leaving their camera behind. That had to hurt, buy maybe they can relive their big adventure by rewatching the footage below.

What show’s set would you want to sneak on to after hours? I’d totally geek out if I could spend an evening skulking around Gus Fring and Walter White’s super meth lab from Breaking Bad.
