Wreck it Ralph live action

Thanks to the Internet, it’s now totally possible to see hilariously entertaining fan-made takes on popular movies with minimal effort, and today we’ve got three new ones to share with you.

First up, Lee Hardcastle brings us a stop-motion claymation take on the newest Die Hard flick, A Good Day to Die Hard. Hardcastle has been doing this for a long time, and has an entry in the horror anthology film The ABCs of Death. His latest finds John McClay doing what he does best – blowing things up and capping bad guys. You can watch it below.

We really liked Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph when it played in theaters last year. The film is essentially an animated love letter to classic video games, but filmmaker Kial Natale thought it would be interesting to reimagine the feature as a 60-second clip – filmed with live action.

Normally, this sort of thing could go totally wrong, but Natale’s short Wreck-It Ralph update is surprisingly fun, mostly because they went out of their way to find actors who resemble real-life versions of the animated characters. Just be warned before watching – there are serious spoilers in this video. [via /Film]

Finally, we close with a cool animated tribute to the films of Christopher Nolan.

Nolan’s built an impressive body of work over the past few years – films featuring a distinctive visual look. Vimeo user Whoispablo has taken some of those striking images and added animation to them. The result is an intriguing reimagining of some of the director’s most iconic scenes.

Yes, it’s a bit hard to see what exactly is going on in some of the images, but when it works, it’s really cool. Have a peek at it below and see what you think. [via Screenrant]
