Watch: Kristen Stewart's 'Equals' and the First-Person 'Hardcore Henry' Get Striking New Trailers

Feb 11, 2016

In a future dystopian society where human intimacy is all but outlawed, two kids embark on a journey of forbidden love in the beautifully sweet Equals, starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult. No one will make you fall more in love with love itself than director Drake Doremu, whose Equals is his strongest movie since the Sundance-winning Like Crazy.

Gorgeous to watch, Equals presents a familiar story of star-crossed lovers but surrounds it with a rich and fascinating mythology. The movie will wash over you like a powerful emotion, and it hits theaters this summer.

While Equals works your heartstrings, Hardcore Henry works your adrenaline. This insane action film, told entirely in the first person, plays out like a cinematic version of Call of Duty (or a similar game), with wildly inventive set pieces presented in a way you're not used to seeing on the big screen.

It's story is pretty light and a little weird, but Sharlto Copley's freakalicious performance as several different characters is worth the price of admission alone. If you can stomach the filmmaking approach, you're in for a bit of a treat. See it with a late-night audience if you can.
