In Empire State, the new film from A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints director Dito Montiel, Liam Hemsworth plays an employee for an armored-truck company who let's slip to a friend (Michael Angarano) that the company's security procedures have plenty of holes in them. They cook up the brilliant idea of robbing the truck, which they're actually able to pull off, but then a NYPD detective (Dwayne Johnson) gets on their case, and things aren't quite so relaxed anymore.
Before all of that happens, though, Hemsorth's character learns firsthand just how bad the firm's security protocols are, and we've got the exclusive clip of it. It's actually a pretty intense scene, and it does the heavy job of setting the tone for the rest of the movie, which is based on the true story of the largest cash heist in U.S. history.
Check it out below, and if it looks up your alley, you'll be happy to know Empire State hits VOD on August 30 and on Blu-ray and DVD September 3.
