Discuss: You Rank the (New) Marvel Movies

May 09, 2011

Thor officially launched the 2011 Summer Movie Season this past weekend with a fairly respectable $66 million, giving it a first place finish at the domestic box office. Worldwide, however, Marvel's latest film is killing at the box office, taking home upwards of $176 million so far, bringing its total up to $240 million globally.

Based on the buzz after its first weekend, Thor has been riding pretty high. 79% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes ain't half bad, and most of the folks I've spoken with feel its the next best (new) Marvel movie next to Iron Man.

When we say "new" Marvel movie, we're talking about the independently produced Marvel Studios movies of the past few years, beginning with Iron Man, and continuing with The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and, later this summer, Captain America: The First Avenger. So for the purpose of this discussion thread, we're not counting any of the other Marvel-related movies (X-Men, Spider-Man, etc) being produced at other studios.

Before I throw it to you, here's my personal ranking:

1. Iron Man

2. Thor

3. The Incredible Hulk

4. Iron Man 2

Now it's your turn to rank the new Marvel movies in order of best to worst.
