Darren Lynn Bousman just wrapped up his dark road show spectacle The Devil's Carnival and details of his newest project were just released. Bleeding Cool (via Dread Central) had the sales reel trailer for Bousman's Cinco de Mayo film that will most likely make the rounds at Cannes.
The director's promising we'll be able to find out what happens to a group of people making a trek to the Arizona/Mexican desert — where a "wall" keeps out the "unwanted" — on May 5 next year. All we know is that the group tries to cross the wall and all hell breaks loose. There's a bizarre image on the project website that looks creepily creature-iffic, so hopefully we'll find out if this pitch gets the green light or not soon.
We already know the Saw filmmaker can keep it brutal and gory. We know he's taken chances since his Saw success and has delivered unusual projects that thankfully don't consist of a litany of remakes. Even though 11-11-11 didn't fare as well as it could have, we're putting trust in Bousman to deliver something interesting. What do you make of the below trailer?
