Captain America Rifle Still

Superhero Hype has gotten their hands on a new batch of Captain America stills.

Darren Aronofsky has landed directing duties for the pilot of HBO's upcoming series Hobgoblin, about magicians who use their skills to fight Hitler.  Yep.

Charlie Day, perhaps best recognized from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia until Horrible Bosses hits, is currently in negotiations with Legendary Pictures for a role as a professor in Guillermo del Toro's alien invasion movie, Pacific Rim.

Universal has set Despicable Me 2 for a July 3, 2013 release, Oliver Stone's Savages for September 28, 2012 and Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion for July 19, 2013.

Benedict Cumberbatch will voice Smaug in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit, while Luke Evans will play Bard the Bowman.

David Cronenberg's latest, A Dangerous Method, a story about the relationship between Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) and Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen), has been picked up by Sony Pictures Classics for US distribution.

Jason Reitman is being brought in to punch up the script for Burt Wonderstone, a magician comedy staring Steve Carell.

Legendary Pictures wants to turn Hot Wheels into, "an edgier pic along the lines of Universal's box office success Fast Five."  Sounds like a great idea.

Thor Freudenthal (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) will be directing Percy Jackson & The Sea of Monsters for Fox.

And finally, we leave you with this brilliant poster:
