Warner Bros. has already revealed that an Ultimate Collector's Edition of The Dark Knight trilogy will be hitting store shelves sometime in the third quarter of 2013, but don't let that dissuade you from picking up The Dark Knight Rises when it debuts on Blu-ray December 4, 2012. The studio has just sent out a trailer for the disc, which promises plenty of making-of material for Nolan batfans everywhere.
The disc will sport over three hours of making-of materials, including a a minidocumentary The Journey of Bruce Wayne, and a 17-part featurette series called "Ending the Knight." There will also be a second-screen-enabled tablet support, and a feature dedicated entirely to the Batmobile and its many iterations over the years.
And while those features alone should entice all fans of Nolan's trilogy, there will be a few stores with exclusive options for the more obsessive buyers out there. Target will be selling an exclusive digibook package for the film, while Best Buy stores will be stocking a disc that's in steelbook packaging and also comes with an exclusive documentary called "Reborn." Choose wisely.
