Create the Ultimate Six-Second Movie for the Tribeca Film Festival and Win Cash

Create the Ultimate Six-Second Movie for the Tribeca Film Festival and Win Cash

Mar 21, 2013

We've been enjoying all the ways people have used Twitter's new social media platform Vine. The mobile service allows users to share short-form videos (six seconds or less) on an endless loop. Website Animal recently hosted a "Very Short Film Fest" encouraging participants to take advantage of the medium during that whole NC-17 debacle. (The entries and winners are NSFW.)

Now, the Tribeca Film Festival is hopping on the Vine bandwagon, challenging people to create six-second films for a mini-fest devoted to the medium. Submit your short to The #6SECFILMS Competition in the #Genre, #Amateur, #Animate and #Series categories. Post it to Twitter with the appropriate hashtags, and be sure to follow @TribecaFilmFest or your hard work will mean nothing. The contest is open until April 7 at 11:59 p.m. Winners chosen by the programmers will be "displayed" on the film-festival website the week of April 17. Head here to check out the full list of rules, and make something great.

Drop us a link to your submission in our comments section so we can follow your progress. Good luck!
