Spanish director Pedro Almodovar reunites with Antonio Banderas in La Piel Que Habito (The Skin I Live In). This is Almodovar’s first attempt at mastering the psychological-thriller genre and based on the teaser trailer this Ginny pig project might go down as this year’s most disturbing film. Based on Thierry Jonquet's 1995 novel Mygale about a plastic surgeon who captures the man who viciously raped his daughter, this revenge tale is sure to leave you scared. La Piel Que Habito hits theaters this fall.
Andy Garcia and Eva Longoria star in Cristiada an action packed, historical film depicting the Cristeros War (1926-1929) in Mexico. The film follows the stories of ordinary people from across the country who choose to stand up for their freedom by fighting against the Mexican government’s attempt to secularize the country. Expect to see familiar faces with an A-list Hispanic cast joining the project, Oscar Isaac (Sucker Punch, Robin Hood), Mexican soap opera heartthrob Eduardo Verástegui and music legend Rubén Blades.
